Dottie Estes Presley
Description
Dottie loves working with children and families because she believes that the family plays a crucial role in the development of children. Helping children have a better home life or adjusting to a new environment, such as a divorce, recent move, or new school, is an essential aspect of her practice. Dottie also enjoys working with adults to help them achieve their best life. Her approach includes child-centered play therapy, sand tray therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and client-centered therapy. She also enjoys helping clients discover their strengths and how to use them to live their best life.
Dottie has personal experience with Asperger's or high-functioning autism and dyslexia. Two of her children have both Autism and dyslexia, and she herself is dyslexic. Rather than viewing these as disabilities, Dottie sees them as "Abilities" that help her think outside the box and be highly creative. She loves incorporating arts and crafts into therapy sessions with these children.
Dottie would love to help you achieve your goals and live your best life! She enjoys working with each client and the personal interaction that occurs during sessions. Dottie has been married for 29 years and has three children. She and her husband have lived in Mobile, Alabama their whole lives and love the city.
