Tracie Meaders
Tracie believes that everyone has the potential to live an abundant life, filled with joy and adventure. She works with children, adolescents, and adults to find ways to better understand themselves, and to address the roadblocks/challenges that may be interfering with their life goals and relationships. Tracie has a MA degree in marriage and family therapy from George Fox University. Her training includes working with individuals, children and adolescents, families, and couples.
Tracie has extensive experience working with adolescents experiencing significant mental health and addiction difficulties, adults with significant mental health challenges, and the children and families affected by trauma, addiction, and mental illness. She is currently a member of the American Counseling Association and the National Association for Play Therapy.
Tracie utilizes different approaches which vary per developmental stages. She leans on person-centered and attachment theory approaches for both children and adults. She also uses techniques from cognitive behavioral, solution-focused therapy, and holistic/integrative therapies. With children, Tracie utilizes child centered play therapy and sand-tray therapy.
