Jennifer Walker
My belief is that successful therapy hinges on creating a strong therapeutic alliance with clients. To achieve this, I prioritize non-judgmental, gentle, and compassionate approaches. I am particularly passionate about working with those who feel marginalized, overlooked, or forgotten, and enjoy working with clients of all ages to help them find purpose, improve relationships, and enhance communication. In addition, I am dedicated to serving autistic individuals, parents of children with disabilities, adolescents, and helping clients develop positive coping skills.
I am well-versed in working with autistic individuals and hold certifications in addressing clinical concerns such as eating disorders, traumatic brain injury, addiction, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a parent of a child with a disability myself, I find working with parents of children with disabilities particularly fulfilling.
I recognize that every person is unique and therefore, I avoid a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Having a therapist to help navigate the challenges of life is an important step towards personal growth and better health. I am excited to hear from you and support you on your journey towards a brighter future.
