Dr. Sarita Freedman

Dr. Sarita Freedman is a clinical psychologist, with a private practice in Calabasas, California. She has worked with young children and their families for over 30 years. Formerly, she had a successful career as a special education teacher, and trained future teachers working with a diverse range of populations, including children with Autism, Emotional Disturbance, Mental Retardation, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Language Disorders, and Developmental Delay. Dr. Freedman is the author of "Developing College Skills in Students with Autism & Asperger’s Syndrome," a book on preparing students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) for college, and numerous articles on ASD. She specializes in children and adults with ASD and also offers conventional psychotherapy services for neurotypical adults and children. Previously she co-founded the Child Development Institute and currently is the founder of College on the Spectrum™, dedicated to preparing and helping individuals with ASD to succeed in college and beyond.
