A Free Mini-Course for Adults Considering or Going Through ASD Assessment
Who This Course Is For
This course is for you if:
- You’ve been falling down the autism rabbit hole at 2 AM and everything feels uncomfortably familiar
- You took an online screening quiz and scored high enough to make your stomach flip
- Someone you trust said, “Have you ever considered you might be autistic?” and you haven’t stopped thinking about it since
- You’ve already decided to pursue assessment and want to know what you’re walking into
- You’re supporting a partner, friend, or family member through this process
This course is not a diagnostic tool. It won’t tell you whether you’re autistic. What it will do is give you a clear, honest roadmap for every stage of the assessment process—so you can make informed decisions and stop spiraling in uncertainty.

How to Use This Course
Each lesson is designed to be read in one sitting (10–15 minutes). You can go through them in order or jump to whichever stage matches where you are right now.
You’ll find action items at the end of most lessons—concrete things you can do, not just more to think about.
A note on language: Throughout this course, I use “autistic” as an identity-first term because that’s what the majority of autistic adults prefer. I also use “ASD” (Autism Spectrum Disorder) when discussing clinical contexts, because that’s the language the medical system uses. Both are used with respect.
A Quick Word Before We Start
Pursuing an autism assessment as an adult takes courage. Whether you end up with a diagnosis or not, the self-awareness you’re developing right now has value. You’re not broken for asking these questions. You’re not “looking for excuses.” You’re trying to understand yourself better, and that’s one of the bravest things a person can do.
Let’s get started.
