Since 1998, I have been utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities to help individuals and families overcome issues related to mental health and addiction. My approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), trauma-focused therapy, family systems therapy, and play therapy. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy and tailor my methods to meet the specific needs of each client. My style is respectful, laid-back, and humorous, even during tough work. While I am supportive and encouraging, I also challenge my clients to grow and make necessary changes to improve their health and wellness. I use a collaborative approach and may incorporate "tough love" when needed. Recovery and health require action, growth, maturity, and accountability.
As a marriage and family therapist, EMDR therapist, and play therapist, I work with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors on a wide range of issues such as mental health, addiction, trauma, abuse, attachment, parenting, family and relationship issues, foster care, child protection, adoption, divorce, blended families, family reunification, and emotional and behavioral dysregulation.
